About: Opportunity to observe the level of Chicago’s Men’s Soccer team in a training environment working with their coaching staff.
- Q & A with current team that explores their different paths to Chicago(club vs academy, private/public/prep/international students, geographical differences) and current paths within the school(major, study abroad, internships/non-soccer commitments on campus, post-grad plans).
- Thorough explanation of the D3 experience.
- Typical recruiting timeline (9 th -12 th grade) for players being recruited to compete at a high academic institution.
- Introduction to the “language” used in recruiting as well dispelling many of the misconceptions regarding the recruiting process, in general and specific to high academic institutions.
Why Join?
Players in attendance should walk away from the camp with a better understanding of the recruiting process (specifically for academically inclined student-athletes). They will also be exposed and introduced to the current Chicago Men’s Soccer team, allowing them to get a glimpse into their level as soccer players as well as hearing from them their stories about how they ended up at Chicago, and what their goals are now that they are on campus.
